Our Company

Orton Homes is owned and operated by Robert S. Orton. Real estate has always been Rob’s passion. From studying real estate management and land economics at University to working at one of London’s largest commercial brokerage firms, he went on to set up his own real estate company in London, England. After marrying an Iowa native, Rob and his wife decided to settle their family in Des Moines, Iowa. Since then, he has been involved in the construction of over 600 homes in the greater Des Moines area. Rob’s experience brings with him European, as well as classical Midwest, influence and charm throughout the design of his homes.

The Orton Homes team brings over 100 years of construction experience to the table, ensuring a quality built home at very competitive prices. Orton Homes builds value in every project we do. We strive to build custom homes to fit each individual customer’s needs. Orton Homes has raised the bar on what customers can expect from their custom home builder. We take you step by step through the whole process from site selection, financing, and design all the way to moving into your brand new home.
